The company
Our client is one of the top 10 global logistics companies who focus on freight forwarding, customs brokerage, road transport and warehousing solutions globally.
The Business Excellence Manager will develop, implement, and monitor the company's policies and strategic objectives in the Malaysia to achieve continuous improvement in sustainability, environment, quality, health and safety and business excellence.
Create and align the regional business excellence strategy with the company's overall strategy, setting SMART objectives for each department, managing organizational development, and change management, and ensure compliance with group policies and group's code of ethics and conducts.
The Business Excellence Manager will be responsible to:
- Implement and execute Business Excellence (BE) policies and initiatives in the national organization to enable continuous development and ensure strategy are in line with divisional and regional strategy to achieve goals.
- Lead within the Country Operational Excellence workstream strategic agenda, develop and sustain continuous improvement culture.
- Collaborate with Subregional MD and the country MD to transition the local Business Excellence support service from compliancebased to performancebased.
- Lead and sustain continuous improvement initiatives and raise levels of services to meet and exceed customer expectations and sustain mandatory QSHE compliance standards.
- Lead and project manage QSHE related compliances, conformances, and continuous improvement effort and achieve the business required accreditation standards.
- Develop dashboards and visual indicators, monitor, and communicate performance to the subregional management team.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement using proven methodology such as LEAN Six Sigma with cross functional teams, departments to develop performance culture.
- Implement operational excellence strategies to improve reliability and performance visibility for the country and respective management team.
- Lead and manage the company's QSHE and Compliance through policy implementation, guidelines, audits, and reporting tools and improve QSHE reporting and documentation by updating Wis and SOPs.
- Implement R2E continuous improvement and QSHE projects, ensuring teams follow appropriate project management methodology to deliver milestones and work within set time, quality, and budget.
- Maintain regular communication with all stakeholders, the team, and within the organization.
- Lead, manage and initiate the Management by Excellence (MBE) for the country and within the subregion.
- Contribute to the global BE plan and budget and development global policies, develop, and manage regional plan's implementation and monitor progress.
- Drive, develop and motivate direct and functional reports aligned with global HR policies and objectives, ensure the quantity and quality staffing for current and future needs.
- Identify and execute developmental needs of teams and individuals, develop, and engage all direct and functional reports.
- Maintain communication flow on strategy and business results.
- Manage the BE & S KPI's worldwide reports and develop global quarterly sustainability reports and submit to regional management and Global BE Manager.
- Contribute to the development of KPIs, establish key data for service and productivity KPIs, monitor and optimize operational workflow, and execute country reengineering.
- Implement, and maintain a global integrated Management System within the region and monitor compliance.
- Develop, implement and ensure realization of internal and external programs regarding sustainability.
- Develop and coordinate with BD on customer solutions based on customer request and market trends, regional scale.
- Manage and ensure ongoing process of changes of Integrated Solutions within the region of global the Management System and compliance with the needs from functional areas.
- Act as Cargo Insurance Claim Champion and coordinate with all relevant parties to resolve cargo/shipments related insurance claims.
- Contribute to establishment of a sustainable supplier selection and review process in coop with Procurement
The requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics Management or relevant with Operations Excellence preferred.
- Minimum 7 years' experience in sustainability, business process management, quality management, project management, H&S environmental matters.
- Accredited lead auditor for ISO/OHSAS experience in Sustainability and Business Process Management preferred.
- Good knowledge of TAPA & GDP will be an added advantage.
- Green Belt certification is required.
- Skilled in Quality Improvement/Control, and Project Management.
- Experience in Lean Six Sigma problem solving methodology.
- Strong analytical, problemsolving and project management skills.

RM8,500.00 per month
