  • The Role
  • Our category managers play an important role in driving the growth of categories under the Electronics, leading strategic engagements that bring together the right partners and product mix for our customers. Reporting to the Category Director of Electronics (Marketplace), you must be passionate about ecommerce and creating the best customer and seller experiences, and have deep knowledge of the dynamics of this fastpaced sector across multiple categories. You will need to manage profit and loss from a strategy, business development, marketing, and operational viewpoint, and draw on a range of tools from data to strategic business insights, to grow category revenue.   • Job Responsibilities


Category expert
  • Lead market data analysis to leverage category opportunities or address business performance issues;
  • Identify potential brands and sellers to optimize seller pool for assortment relevance and growth
  • Rally partners and internal stakeholders around platform and category strategies
  • Track and drive category performance at both key account and category level for KPIs that include revenue, volume, and assortment growth;
  • Engage and build relationships with key sellers to plan assortment, pricing, promotional and campaign activities on Lazada to achieve sales goals
  • Develop and drive best practices for category success
Project manager- Build, manage and strengthen relationships with leading sellers, while abiding by Lazada's policies and guidelines for procurement processes;

  • Cultivate relationships with large offline sellers to boost range and availability;
  • Identify assortment gaps and introduce solutions to support customer needs;
  • Rally sellers around campaigns and promotional events,
  • Work closely with marketing and supply chain teams to ensure a reliable and operationally effective flow of goods to our fulfillment centres;
  • Be the goto person for all categoryrelated matters
  • Maintain supplier scorecards to optimize category performance;
  • Initiate crossfunctional team collaborations to create systems and processes that support category needs;

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from a leading university
  • At least 2 years' experience in ecommerce, retail, business development or project management roles ideally in a multinational setup;
  • Strong analytical skills, able to leverage data points and market analysis to form actionable insights and recommendations;
  • Strong ownership and attention to details
  • Selfmotivated, highly adaptable, and comfortable in a fastchanging and fluid environment;
  • Excellent relationship management skills at all levels (internal and external)
  • Solid oral and written communication, presentation and negotiation skills;
  • Deadlinedriven, with excellent planning and organizational skills;
  • Passionate about improving both customer and seller experience
