**The Manager, Development Services (MDS)** will contribute to the success of Boustead Geospatial Technologies as the leader of the development services team dedicated to creating geospatial solutions for customers across the world.
The development services team is a geospatial software development center of excellence, providing out-sourced development services across the Boustead geospatial group of companies and to customers across the globe.
The emphasis for this role is on expanding services used by our new and existing customers and ensuring consistent and high-quality services are delivered on all engagements. The MDS will quickly resolve customer escalations and will have responsibility for mentoring and developing development services team members to create a productive, efficient, and effective working environment.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Contribute to the achievement of overall development services revenue and profitability targets.
- Manage stakeholder perceptions by proactively communicating the BGT brand, strengthening the company’s market-leading reputation and contributing to the fulfilment of business objectives.
- Ensure services are delivered to a high standard with repeat engagements from satisfied customers.
- Oversee the engagement lifecycle from proposal and pricing through to implementation and ongoing support.
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with company policies and procedures, provision of business data and business performance reports.
**Responsibilities**
1. Prepare proposals for the provision of Development Services engagements to customers and prospects, and ensure customer contracts are managed effectively.
2. Act as the point of escalation for engagements and guarantee appropriate resolution from relevant stakeholders.
3. Ensure work processes are developed and adhered to enabling team members to meet targets including utilization, client satisfaction etc.
4. Manage the day-to-day operations of all Development Services’ resources.
5. Optimize resource utilization and manage engagement of new team members as required to meet the Development Services’ pipeline.
6. Identify mid
- to long-term resourcing demands and work with the General Manager to develop a plan for addressing any gaps.
7. Ensure the effective management of projects utilizing project management methodologies.
8. Ensure team members receive sufficient training and development to maintain relevant Esri, software development and consulting skills.
9. Work with HR to identify, recruit and induct new team members.
10. Create a positive working environment to attract and retain team members.
- Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends in development services.
**Personal Requirements**
Qualifications and experience
- Formal tertiary qualification in related discipline.
- Demonstrated minimum of **five** years’ experience in IT project management, resource scheduling and leading people, preferably with experience in offshore software development services.
- A strong passion for building highly capable teams through recruitment and development of existing staff.
- Pronounced analytical and planning skills coupled with an independent, objective and process-oriented way of working.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, working with a variety of new and existing customers from across the globe.
- Experience in the software development industry. (Experience in the GIS industry will be viewed positively).
