Assistant Area Manager

**Responsibilities**:
- Manage, coordinate and implement the Federal Road Maintenance activities are properly executed as required by the Company’s objective, policy, client’s requirements and government’s regulations.
- Manage and implement the maintenance operation in accordance and fulfills the Privatization Agreement’s term and condition.
- Undertake and responsible the administrative duties as a department head of the area within set of authorities limit.
- Ensure all records pertaining to the maintenance activities are well kept maintain and control and to ensure the private and confidential documents are not expose to the public.
- Propose, submit proposal of remedial works / treatment works on road failure and ensure the budget are available before execute the works.
- Coordinate, monitor, prepare, compile and submit progress works reports to the clients and superiors as schedule.
- Monitor all claims to the client or claim received from the sub-contractors are submitted properly and timely and paid accordingly.
- Ensure all activities or works at site are executed accordance to requirement and quality and paid by the client.
- Plan, schedule, conduct, attend meeting as required by the management, client and authorities.
- Plan, coordinate, monitor all activities related to the operation at site are safe and environmental friendly.
- Manage complaints effectively and efficiently and ensure all corrective and preventive actions are properly and timely taken, recorded and reported.
- Maintain and improve good working relationship with the relevant local authorities, the company organization and group of companies.
- Ensure all company assets movement are traceable, properly control and always maintain in good condition.
- Undertake other duties as and when directed by the superiors.
- Plan, organize and submit report on Selia Rapid Response Team daily activities.
To expose good relationship with stakeholder, client (JKR state and districts) and relevant parties.
- Supervise and direct the activities of assigned staff, prioritize and assign tasks and projects.
- Track and review work programme and progress at site.
- Supervise, plan, direct and organize are office staff and assignments, direct change in priorities and schedules as needed to assure work is performed in timely and efficient manner according to SOP and appropriate guidelines.
- Plan and schedule all road maintenance and construction work including emergency work and emergency response.
- Provide technical advise to client.
- Monitor procurement and contract to ensure the operation team (Area Office) comply with the Company policy.
**Job Requirements**:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years working experience in civil works preferably with road care experience.
- Open to Malaysian citizens only.
- This is an urgent position, therefore those who are able to commence work immediately/ with short notice shall have an added advantage.
- Highly motivated, hardworking and committed to work with the ability to lead and supervise a team, meet deadline, solve problems, thinking out of the box and analyzing data and statistics.
- Pleasant personality and can communicate to others in all situation and level of responsibilities adequately.
- Shows leadership qualities in the organization or scope of work where he is given responsibilities to lead.
