Receptionist/ Front Office Assistant

**Job Summary**:
Provide guests service, checks in guests, handles guest mails, messages, telexes ad others. This position is concerned with the overall operation of the front office and compliance with established front office and accounting policies of this hotel.
**Job Requirement**:
1. Experience in daily Front Office operation.
2. Able to work under pressure and shift work.
**Standard Job Responsibilities**:
1. To provide courteous and efficient service and where possible, to comply with each and every guest request.
2. To greet all guest in a courteous and friendly manner ie. Always with a smile.
3. To check in guests according to the procedure.
4. To take room reservation at the counter or on the telephone.
5. To work closely with the Housekeeping Department. Informs Housekeeping of early check-ins or late check-outs, change of room, requirement of extra bed/baby cot.
6. To be fully knowledgeable on relevant information relating to hotel facilities, direction to the hotel, all places of interest in Kuantan and surrounding area, shopping areas, etc;
**Key Responsibilities/Major Tasks**:
1. Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming.
2. Works closely with all departments in ensuring guest’s satisfaction.
3. Exercises responsible behaviour at all times and positively representing the hotel management team.
4. Reads the hotel's Employee Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety.
5. Attends training sessions and meetings as and when required.
6. Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
