Assistant Reservation Manager

Job Description:
- Overview of Duties:
- To perform duties within the framework defined by the hotel as supervised by Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Responsible for the overall smooth running of the Reservation department.
- Have a clear understanding of the hotel and department's vision, mission and core values and integrate this into the division's daily activities.
- To set and meet hotel objectives, sales target and budgeted revenues.
- To understand & adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) & policies of the department as well as of the hotel.
- Set high personal and professional standards for the department by own performance.
Main Responsibilities:
- To develop and maintain a proper adequate file reflecting information on assigned accounts.
- To develop, update and maintain a proper database for assigned accounts.
- To develop, update and maintain a proper database for assigned accounts on a daily basis.
- Co-ordinate and ensure the accuracy of all reservation filling, daily correspondence and reservation input.
- To gather and compile market information on competitor's performance, happening, sales account productions and market trends on a daily/weekly and monthly basis.
- To attend relevant trade shows, trade fairs and related exhibition gather market information as an when assigned.
- Always be on the look-out for online marketing opportunities.
- Provide guests with the most accurate and up to date information at all times.
- Supply critical analysis on the effect of short and long term decisions affecting occupancy, average rate and rooms.
- Update the "Demand period forecasting" daily to input the actual figure for Rooms sold and average rate for the previous night.
- Update the "Demand period forecasting" weekly for the following 3 months in the "Demand period forecasting " worksheet.
- Monitor and analyze competitive set.
- Prepare all reports and analysis to assist Director of Sales & Marketing to make better marketing decision.
- Update forecasts and update planning in TARS.& PMS where necessary.
- Monitor and control of sell rate across all Distribution channel thereby ensuring rate parity.
- Check and monitor sell status on the TARS.
- To know clearly the hotel objectives and sales target set for his/her area of responsibilities breakdown into weekly, monthly and yearly target as set forth in the Revenue Streams of the hotel.
- To have knowledge of Front Office, M&E, Sales and F&B operation.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: RM2,500.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
