**Mission/purpose of the Job**

Providing the leadership and daily management of the Finance Control and Accounting team towards strategic operational support to facilitate achievements of business objectives.

**Scope and influence**
- Follow Volvo Group Authorization Directive
- Follow Volvo Group Cash & Credit Management Directive
- Follow Volvo Group Financial Policies and Procedures
- Follow Country Authorization Directive

**Key responsibilities/Accountabilities**
- Lead and coach the legal entity Finance Control and Accounting FCA team
- Team development to ensure right competence levels are matched with roles
- Drive change management at a country level
- Deliverance of error free and accurate timely reporting to Volvo AB
- Ensure adherence to Volvo Group financial policy & procedures, IFRS & local MASB
- Internal control implementations & adherence
- Country representation at Regional & Global meetings
- Representation in Business Partner meetings
- Ensure timely and successful yearly completion of:
Internal Audit
- External Audit
- TP exercise
- Corporate Tax submission- Ensure compliance with other regulatory requirements - Sales & Service Tax, Bank Negara Reporting
- Smooth operations of the P2P, O2C and R2R functions locally

**Key interfaces**
- Country Management Team, Local Management Team, Business Controllers, Global Accounting Team, Regional Tax, Regional Treasury.
- Malaysia Volvo Trucks, Volvo Bus, FCA, VGRE, VFS, VTI, IPS, GTO departments
- Auditors, Tax Consultants, Bankers, Suppliers, Customers

**Key targets and results**
- Accurate financial reporting
- Meet all deadlines imposed by Group Reporting
- Ensure the adherence to AB Volvo’s Financial Policies and Procedures and all relevant group policies to be locally adapted.
- Ensure local legislative requirements are met timely.

**Who are you?**:
Essential educational and/or training qualifications and certificates
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or related field
- Professional qualification required (MIA/ACCA/CPA/MACPA or equivalent)
- Proven track record for at least 3 years in senior finance roles with automative, shared service experiences an advantage.

Preferred experience and knowledge
- Organizational skills and Demonstrated people management and leadership capabilities.
- Proficiency in the English language and excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Analytical capacity and Automation/Digitalisation experience in Finance.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Expertise in Local GAAP Accounting and International Accounting Standards
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations
- Ability to partner across organization to deliver effective business solutions.
- Able to work independently.
- Highly computer literate (Microsoft Office suite) and is familiar with various accounting and financial systems (SAP MF)
