Duty Manager

Ø This role is responsible to assist the Front Office Manager / Assistant Front Office Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of Front Office team.
Ø You are responsible for your subordinate(s), providing them the required support, motivation and leadership practices that align with the core values of the Company. You are also required to exemplify your best behaviour to your team, work well with other team members in the department/organization and carry out assignments that are delegated by your superior in a timely manner.
**ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY**
1. Assist in VIP’s arrival and escort guest to his/her room and assist with the departure upon check-out.
2. Check cleanliness of lobby and public areas, lights and front office staff in proper and orderly appearance and behaviour.
3. Check on the registration cards of arriving guests and ensure all information should be filled on each card by the guests.
4. Assist in sending guest messages or faxes.
5. Give instructions to the Night Reception, during the high occupancy periods, regarding walk-in guests and release rooms blocked because of no-shows.
6. Assist in handling room lock problems.
7. Coordinates with all departments concerned to maintain Front Office functions properly.
8. Operate the front office computer system to assist front office attendants.
9. Checks group department, fit and ensure switchboard makes appropriate wake-up calls.
10. Continuously develop personal leadership, hiring, and training skills for personal development.
11. Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to team members as well as assess individual performance through observation and measurement, and suggest corrective actions as needed.
**OTHER REQUIREMENTS**
Ø Maintaining confidentiality within the organization and protect any information that classified as confidential.
Ø Maintaining honesty and integrity with superior, subordinates and guests.
Ø Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends to support hotel operations or events.
Ø Complying with the company’s grooming standard.
Ø Requires a valid driver’s license and passport.
Ø Must be willing to travel to conduct business if required.
**Job Type**: Permanent
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
