About the Team
The Operations team endeavours to continuously build and deliver a seamless and positive employee experience across the whole employee lifecycle. We're dedicated to leading with care and have empathy in mind. We strive to develop efficient and simple people processes, systems, policies and programs.
**Responsibilities**:
What You Will Do
- Set up regional ER framework structure and policies, including regional SOP and WI for the operation team. Provide process and instructions to HRBP and stakeholders, give clear guidelines to relevant teams to proceed ER cases efficiently and compliant.
- Lead ER team to complete yearly targets, multiple projects and daily work, including independently managing assigned casework, bringing investigations to closure rapidly and definitively, and checking on countries operations rules. Give coaching and training to team members to ensure work quality.
- Manage the team to analyze casework trends to produce strategic, proactive recommendations to HR and the business to proactively address and mitigate systemic issues. Develop deep knowledge of HR policies and processes and regional HR obligations.
- Partner with HRBPs, HR Ops, Legal, and other investigative parties as required to thoroughly conduct the investigation and reach the best outcomes for our organization and employees. Manage and support all stakeholders to cooperate with HROP team well.
- Set up one page for ER function in HR knowledge hub and bytedance wiki, provide guidelines, best practices, and training to educate employees, managers, and other members of HR on this function.
- Work closely with HQ HROP COE team to ensure HQ tasks are passed to region and country level to implement well.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, regional role exposure and experience highly desired.
- Strong stakeholders management skills, business partnering skills and HR acumen, including problem-solving skills, critical thinking abilities, coaching skills, project management skills & leadership abilities.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, and high levels of discretion, confidentiality, and ethics.
- Highly proficient and excellent communication skills in English and one Asian language, to be able to support stakeholders based overseas (Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean is highly preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
- Technically proficient in Microsoft Office Suite systems including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Advanced degree in Human resource management or law degree / legal background preferred.
