**Direct Search Global is working with one of the World’s most prominent Maritime establishment to fill a vacancy for General Manager Corporate QHSE. This position will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Read more about the requirement for the position from our job description below**:
**Job Descriptions**:

- Monitor and advise on all Corporate QHSE matters, issues and concerns to ensure Company compliance with statutory requirements, Company and contractual requirements and good industry practice.
- Lead strict adherence to the company’s core values.
- Develop and implement corporate policies, procedures, controls, and measures.
- Act as the company representative within the field of Corporate QHSE when called upon to address regulatory body compliance issues, third party QHSE & liability consultants and subcontractor representatives.
- Responsible for Company’s QHSE processes and procedures to ensure the Company maintains its accreditations.
- Responsible for advising the group on all applicable Corporate QHSE legislation and monitoring compliance.
- Conduct Corporate QHSE training courses using internal and external resources when required.
- Prepare and implement Corporate QHSE Plan including an Audit Schedule aimed at improving performance across the group.
- Review, monitor and report Corporate QHSE statistics and objectives for business improvement
- Review and analyze data from audits, incident investigations, non-conformance to identify adverse trends and implement preventive action.
- Review and report on learning from events data through sharing, open actions management and compliance with action close-out requirements.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for Corporate QHSE matters.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, or Engineering, or Occupational Health & Safety, or relevant discipline.
- Additional professional qualifications in HSE and Fire & Safety Management Systems is a plus.
- Minimum 20 years of relevant QHSE experience with at least 10 years in Senior Manager capacity.
- Prior experience in creating and managing a budget including resource allocation and priority setting is a plus.
- Prior experience in oil and gas, or maritime industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of legal health and safety guidelines.
- Attention to detail and observation ability
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal and writing.
- Excellent leadership and people management qualities.
