The role of a Sales Development Manager at General Trade involves coordinating sales activities and delivering results against targets in the Southern Region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate strong relationships with distributor teams to achieve sales objectives.
  • Explore opportunities to enhance company sales through new distribution channels, shelf space optimization, and secondary placement initiatives.
  • Gather market intelligence from given outlets, including sales data, competitor activities, and JDE insights.

Distribution Strategy:

  • Ensure portfolio distribution in assigned stores aligns with the Master Stock List.
  • Collaborate with distributor teams to launch new products and meet target distribution goals.

Shelf Management:

  • Maintain compliance with planograms guidelines issued by the central office, identifying opportunities for improvement.

Secondary Placement:

  • Monitor and execute 2nd placements according to plan.
  • E nsure accurate implementation of products on secondary displays based on planograms and established guidelines.

Pricing and Promotions:

Adhere to centrally agreed pricing and promotional strategies.

Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in FMCG.
  • Experience in General Trade.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications.
  • Proficient in English; additional local dialect skills are beneficial.
  • Added advantage if you possess knowledge of outlets in Johor Region.
