About the Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for engaging and servicing a portfolio of larger SME customers in the Johor Bahru branch. The primary objective is to achieve a desirable revenue growth target by cross-selling and up-selling relevant business banking products that meet the customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Revenue Growth – The Business Development Manager will be entrusted with a portfolio of larger SME customers and will be expected to achieve a desirable revenue growth target by providing timely and effective follow-up and services.
  2. Relationship Building – The Business Development Manager is required to constantly engage the Bank's key SME customers by providing timely and effective follow-up and services. He or she is expected to contact and engage the bank's customers in accordance with the Bank's engagement policy to retain and grow the customer relationship and hence secure a larger wallet share of the customers.
  3. Risk Management – The Business Development Manager is required to diligently obtain relevant information and ensure integrity is maintained at all times when dealing with the Bank's customers.
  4. Compliance & Audit – He or she is expected at all times to perform his role and duties in accordance with the law, regulations, rules and policies relating to all activities and conduct to ensure we deliver acceptable and professional services to our valued SME customers.
  5. Work Quality – He or she is also expected to conform to the Bank's internal quality policies and requirements to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in carrying out his or her duties within the Bank.

Requirements

  1. Must have a minimum qualification of a recognized Diploma/Degree or equivalent. However, candidates who have been in SME Relationship Management for more than 4 years will also be considered favorably.
  2. Candidates are required to have a minimum of 2 years working experience in loans sales, account management or relationship management, preferably in a financial institution or a service provider involved in consultancy, pharmacy, IT, logistics services, trading and industrial products wholesales or retails.
  3. He or she must have an outgoing personality and enjoy meeting and engaging customers with various business backgrounds.
  4. Ability to learn fast and keen to build a banking career in business relationship within the business banking community.
  5. Possess own transport and willing to travel within the branch's market location.
