Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at FFJMP SDN BHD. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the branch manager with ongoing projects in the northern region, liaising with clients and HQ for new projects, and communicating with HQ for material procurement and manpower resources planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Support the branch manager with ongoing projects in the northern region, ensuring timely completion and high-quality output.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with clients and HQ for new projects, from the tender stage to order, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Procurement and Planning: Communicate with HQ for material procurement and manpower resources planning, ensuring efficient project execution.
  • Design and Proposal: Make design proposals using AutoCAD and assist the branch manager/sales HQ during client presentations.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Liaise with the branch manager on making budgetary sheets for ongoing projects, ensuring accurate financial management.
  • Technical Expertise: Familiar with installation and testing electrical systems, including cable ways, cable laying, equipment and panel installations, communication systems, lighting installation, ELV works, loop check & calibration works, and cable insulation & continuity check.
  • Supplier Evaluation: Assist in evaluating suppliers' proposals and quotations in technical aspects.
  • Instrumentation Support: Provide technical support on the requirements of instrumentation for the projects during procurement or tendering.
  • Contractor and Supplier Management: Correct, advise, and guide technically contractors/suppliers during project implementation.
  • Standards and Materials: Familiar with the standards and materials used for electrical & instrumentation systems.
  • Interpretation and Analysis: Will be an added advantage if familiar with interpretation of P&ID, logical diagrams, IO lists, instrument datasheets, and instrument index.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Capability to apply broad knowledge of one professional discipline or advanced knowledge of specific technical/operational practices.
  • Self-Motivation and Initiative: Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, consistently taking the initiative to get things done.
  • Adaptability and Continuous Learning: Capability to update or modify working methods in your role by following defined procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Interest and skill to collaborate with engineering functional teams.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related field.
  • Communication and Leadership: Able to work and communicate with all levels and to lead and support the team effectively in achieving company goals.
  • Language: Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English.
  • Experience: More than 5 years of working experience in Mechanical Engineering (construction) OR a related field is required for this position.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent computer skills in Excel, Word, and AutoCAD.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Pressure Management: Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines with high-quality output.
  • Planning and Scheduling: Understands and utilizes standard planning and scheduling methodologies and tools.
  • Proactive Thinking: Proactive thinking with a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Motivation and Autonomy: Highly motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Regional Experience: Experience working in the northern region and have a good network among client prospects and vendor list.
  • Communication Skills: Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office: General capability in Microsoft Office.
