The Role

We are seeking an IT Data Engineer to join our Corporate IT team. This exciting opportunity will involve developing new capabilities and establishing a supportable model of platform and applications, growing the company's use of modern technologies. The IT Data Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and testing big data solutions within the organization that collect, manage, and convert raw data into usable information for data business analysts. This role requires a strong understanding of data availability, reliability, and consistency, as well as the ability to transform raw data into usable formats for analysis and use by other teams.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Designing and developing data pipelines and architectures
  2. Analyzing and organizing raw data to ensure data quality and reliability
  3. Building data models and systems to support business intelligence and analytics
  4. Developing and maintaining data warehouses and data lakes
  5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven decision making
  6. Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Strong experience in data engineering and big data technologies
  2. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with remote teams
  4. Fluency in English and proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, or other big data technologies
  5. Previous experience in data engineering or a related field (5 years)
