Job Title: Resident Engineer

Telekom Malaysia is seeking a highly skilled Resident Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for managing the Premium Service Desk for our L2 services, handling requests and complaints for our 24/7 operations, and ensuring service continuity as per the contract between Telekom Malaysia and our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) on L2 services matters related to customer's contract and SOW.
  • Ensure all post-commissioning scope of work related to L2 services is fulfilled as per contractual requirements and customer expectations, meeting industrial standards.
  • Manage and coordinate service improvement plans to eliminate repeated service faults.
  • Build relationships with customers and internal Telekom Malaysia by maintaining communication, discussing, and sharing services improvement plans to develop trust with end-users and Telekom Malaysia.
  • Ensure all Scope of Work (SOW) deliverables are met as per contractual requirements between Telekom Malaysia and Clients.
  • Execute 1st level troubleshooting for Incident Requests (IR) by performing fault diagnosis, isolation, and filtration to minimize incident reports for clients.
  • Coordinate, track, and update Change Requests (CR), Service Requests (SR), and Incident Requests (IR) within the contractual SLA until resolution.
  • Ensure the escalation plan for internal and external customers runs smoothly based on the escalation procedure.
  • Monitor the execution of the BCP Activation and Deactivation exercise when requested by customers.
  • Attend technical in-house training and external certification to meet and exceed core competencies and professionalism in supporting customers.
  • Track and resolve Incident Handling to ensure SLA compliance as per the contract with clients.
  • Perform escalations based on the escalation matrix to ensure customer interruptions are resolved within SLA time.
Requirements:
  • Diploma / Advance Diploma / HND in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Networking, or Programming.
  • HCIA Routing & Switching, HCIA Security, HCIA WLAN, CCNA, ITIL certifications.
  • Knowledgeable in Network Operation Support and Services, HSBB technology, and WLAN Troubleshooting skills.
