Accounts and HR Manager

This job is an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with A1 Distribution Sdn Bhd as an Accounts and HR Manager. The role combines financial management and human resources responsibilities, ensuring the smooth operation of office activities. It's a unique chance to blend accounting and HR skills.
- Prepare monthly/yearly management accounts, report to the director, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax laws.
- Maintain accurate financial records and oversee accounts payable/receivable to maintain a healthy cash flow.
- Set up and maintain online banking, handle bank facilities, and review existing facilities to minimize costs.
- Familiar with accounting software, maintain user access control, and liaise with system vendors when necessary.
- Undertake ad-hoc assignments and manage end-to-end HR functions including recruitment, payroll, performance management, and employee relations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Handling recruitment process, job postings, interviews, and hiring decisions.
- Managing employee onboarding and offboarding process, submitting related forms to local authorities.
- Processing staff payroll and claims, ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time.
- Managing payroll deductions such as EPF, SOCSO, PCB, and other statutory contributions.
- Ensuring the company adheres to labour laws and other legal requirements.
- Developing and maintaining HR policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining confidential employee records, personal details, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance and accounting, with additional background in HR and Admin.
- Detail-oriented, independent with initiative, good problem-solving and reporting presentation skills.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, written and verbal communication (preferably Mandarin speaking).
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices.
