Job Description - Institutional Sales Dealer

As a key member of the OCBC Bank team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial market solutions to institutional clients, including but not limited to fixed income, FX, derivatives, money markets, and structured solutions as a service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and execute flows of fixed income instruments (primary issuance and secondary markets) and derivatives, ensuring seamless trade executions and settlements.
  2. Collaborate with the Head of Institutional Sales to oversee bank and non-bank financial institutions, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, and government-linked companies/sovereign-owned entities within Malaysia.
  3. Develop and implement business strategy, targeting key institutional prospects in the public and private sector, utilizing account planning processes to deepen relationships with clients and increase share of wallet.
  4. Work closely with other desks within Global Markets as well as other divisions within OCBC Bank to ensure smooth trade executions and settlements.
  5. Provide daily and/or periodic market updates to clients, keeping them informed of market trends and opportunities.
  6. Assist the Head of Institutional Sales in working with the GIB bond origination team to pitch for mandates, leveraging your expertise to secure new business opportunities.
  7. Assist the Head of Institutional Sales in managing the primary corporate bond issuance and/or syndications, ensuring successful execution and client satisfaction.
  8. Engage with investors and lead the fixed income sales team in providing information on primary corporate bonds to potential investors, as well as feedback from investors back to the bond syndication team.

Requirements:

  1. Must possess PKMC certification.
  2. Similar experience in treasury sales, with a strong understanding of financial markets and instruments.
