Business Development Manager

About the Role:
- This full-time role will be responsible for proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities, as well as maintaining strong relationships with existing clients
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets through effective prospecting and relationship-building
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor your approach to different stakeholders
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and generating new sales leads through networking, cold-calling, and attending industry events
- Arranging and conducting in-person meetings with potential clients to understand their safety requirements and present tailored solutions
- Negotiating contract terms and closing sales deals to meet or exceed individual and team sales targets
- Providing excellent customer service to ensure high customer satisfaction and retention
- Continuously updating the sales pipeline and accurately reporting on sales activities and progress
- Collaborating with the marketing team to support the development of sales materials and campaigns
- Follow up payment collection
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales or business development role, preferably within the safety equipment or industrial supplies industry
- Ability to converse in Mandarin as you are required to deal with Mandarin speaking customers is an added advantage
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets through effective prospecting and relationship-building
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor your approach to different stakeholders
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities to overcome objections and close deals
- Proactive, goal-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- Familiarity with ERP systems and sales reporting tools
