Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

The Regional Sales Director for Asia Pacific is responsible for driving all revenue-generating activities for Katalyst Data Management in the region. In addition to holding direct selling responsibilities, the Regional Sales Director oversees all business development activity and provides mentorship to other business development resources in the region. The Regional Sales Director is responsible for developing and executing overall sales strategies, account planning, opportunity identification, and understanding the business challenges of clients to recommend appropriate Katalyst solutions. The Regional Sales Director plays a central role in demonstrations/presentations, quotes/pricing, and other proposal development activities.

Key Tasks
  1. Build a pipeline of opportunities for the region
  2. Develop and articulate a go-to-market sales strategy for the region
  3. Offer mentorship and guidance to other business development resources in the region
  4. Own the revenue forecast and budget, working with the region's Senior Vice President to update revenue forecasts as required to accurately portray and predict region performance
  5. Ensure that data is accurately and frequently updated in Katalyst's CRM system
  6. Meet regional sales goals as developed with management
  7. Demonstrate a deep understanding of client requirements regarding sub-surface data management and recognize how Katalyst solutions can meet these requirements
  8. Understand, present, and articulate the benefits of a Katalyst Data Management solution and understand competitors in the market
  9. Identify and meet with existing and potential clients, and the decision-makers within the client organization
  10. Plan approaches and pitches, working with the team to develop proposals that speak to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives
  11. Participate in pricing the solution/service
  12. Provide demonstrations of Katalyst technology and services to prospective customers
Required Skills And Knowledge
  1. Strong background in the oil and gas industry is essential
  2. Demonstrable record of applying consultative sales processes to close complex sales opportunities
  3. Self-starter: willing and eager to drive opportunities and seek assistance as needed
  4. Superior oral and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to groups of customers
  5. Displays energetic and affable teamwork
  6. Organized and driven to success; able to organize their own activities and those of key team members with an eye to closing deals
Position Type And Expected Hours Of Work

This is a full-time position. As a full-time position, the Regional Sales Director is eligible to participate in the regional benefits offered to Katalyst Data Management employees. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Travel

The Regional Sales Director is required to travel to attend client meetings, strategic planning, and explore opportunities. Travel varies, but it could include local, regional, national, or international as dictated by client and business needs.

Required Education And Experience
  1. Bachelor's Degree or Technical Diploma
  2. 10+ years of experience selling into the oil and gas marketplace
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of seismic data (acquisition, processing, formats, and media types)
  4. Knowledge of E&P Data Management requirements and expectations
