The Assistant Manager Designate - Sales & Marketing position is a result-first role where he/she will be expected to actively support building of strategies to drive sales and accelerate our penetration in all aspects of the business (i.e., import, wholesale, distribution, retail of a wide range of products) through deep client understanding, strategic relationship network, and strong value creation. He/she is responsible to pro-actively hunt for new opportunities and win new clients (i.e., both corporate and individual through various B2B and B2C channels). He/she will be selling solutions through direct or partnership arrangements, both locally and abroad. In addition, he/she will be responsible for expanding and growing existing accounts in the assigned portfolio in order to meet company’s revenue growth objectives and provide assistance to the Head / Director of Sales & Marketing in the following areas (Non-exhaustive list):
**Key Activities / Accountabilities**
**Customer Acquisition**
Identify potential business opportunities with established/large corporations, including but not limited to fulfilment house, banking institutions, e-commerce trading businesses that will contribute to the achievement of the company’s revenue target.
**Sales Planning**
- Proactively monitor market changes/needs, competitor landscape and feedback on important activities (e.g. technical developments, industry trends, new features, products and services etc.) to Management and relevant personnel.
- Develop trading category road map to maximize volume and margin. Identify new opportunities and develop a meticulous pursuit plan to progress the opportunity to closure. Deliver monthly outcome within an approved financial framework that is aligned with the company’s business plan and strategic growth objectives.
- Scope existing/new customer’s requirements and communicate the account opportunities, objectives, strategy and resource requirements in collaboration with Management. - Independently drive end-to-end sales process, from meeting the customer, to up sell/cross sell new and existing customers, preparing sales proposals, conducting presentations/proof of concepts, negotiating the contract till the closing of business with qualified customers.
**Account Management**
- Develop, implement and maintain action plans with details for each new and existing customer on how the account will be developed to improve their revenue contribution to the company.
**Customer Retention and Relationship Management**
- Keep customers, within portfolio, through consistently focusing on reviewing and improving customer relationships.
**Order Fulfilment**
Oversee order processing, fulfilment (including picking and packing), inventory and order tracking, quality control, and shipping preparation. Work closely with customer representatives, suppliers, carriers, logistics personnel, and other team members to ensure that service level agreements (SLAs) and customer expectations are met and maintain supply chain efficiency
**Preferred Qualifications, Experience and Skills**
- Degree holder in Marketing or relevant.
- Minimum eight (8) years’ sales/account management, customer/business acquisition and retention experience with proven track record in achieving sales targets. He/she must possess deep understanding of end-to-end process of the B2B and / or B2C businesses (i.e., import, wholesale, distribution, retail, e-commerce trading), and have the character to build relationships that will truly deliver a win-win situation. He/she should already have established network of contacts, ideally with large/well-known corporations, including but not limited to fulfilment house, banking institutions, e-commerce trading businesses.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English require. Proficiency in spoken Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese, etc.), spoken and written Malay highly desirable.
**Salary**: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
