Procurement Assistant

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive **Procurement Assistant** to support our procurement and supply chain operations. The role involves assisting with purchasing activities, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, products, and services.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist in sourcing and purchasing goods, materials, and services in line with company requirements.
- Obtain and compare supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
- Create and process purchase orders (POs) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain and update procurement records, supplier databases, and documentation.
- Track and follow up on orders to ensure on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments regarding order status, delays, and discrepancies.
- Support the procurement team in contract administration and vendor management.
- Assist in preparing cost analyses, reports, and inventory tracking.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant procurement regulations.
**Requirements**:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or administrative support (preferred).
- Basic understanding of procurement principles and supply chain processes.
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel); experience with procurement or ERP software is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently or as part of a team.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Knowledge of inventory management and logistics coordination.
- Familiarity with contract terms and supplier negotiations.
- Experience in a fast-paced or industry-specific environment (e.g., hospitality, manufacturing, or retail).
