Assistant HR Manager

**Working Hours**: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:
**HR Operations**:
- Handle day-to-day HR operations and respond to employee and manager inquiries.
- Execute HR processes and transactions accurately and timely.
- Oversee HR administration, including employee records, contracts, and reporting.
**Employee Relations**:
- Serve as the contact point for employee relations issues.
- Assist with investigations, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
- Promote a positive working culture aligned with company policies.
**HR Compliance**:
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
- Monitor regulatory changes and communicate them to management.
- Conduct audits of HR processes and records.
**HR Systems and Reporting**:
- Maintain and improve HR systems for accuracy and functionality.
- Generate reports to support decision-making.
- Work with IT and HR to implement upgrades and system improvements.
**Payroll Management**:
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Handle statutory compliance and employee payroll inquiries.
- Reconcile payroll data and liaise with Finance for payroll funding.
**HR Projects**:
- Lead or support HR projects to enhance service delivery and employee experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on HR programs.
- Stay informed of HR best practices and propose process improvements.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in HR operations, employee relations, payroll, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws.
- Proficient in HRIS and payroll software.
- Must be able to **speak, read, and write Mandarin** to manage internal documentation and communication.
- Detail-oriented and able to handle confidential information with integrity.
**Additional Information**:
- 11-member HR department; this position reports to the Senior HR Manager.
