**JD Service Captain**
We are looking for a motivated Service Captain to join our restaurant group’s Kaiseki. To excel in this position, you need a high level of customer service skills and a willingness to meet guests' needs quickly and politely.
- **1. Leading floor service**_
- Deliver quality customer service to all guests.
- Take reservations and enquire purpose of visit.
- Greet each guest promptly and courteously with good smile and body language.
- Present menu and share promotions, specials and items to customers.
- Memorize food and beverages menu for on-demand recitation.
- Take food and beverage orders, repeat orders to guests and inform guest of estimated time to serve.
- Oversee a team of servers who are assigned to his/her shift.
- Ensure that the restaurant maintains a fine dining atmosphere and proper standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
- **2. Proper handling of POS and payment management**_
- Key orders in the Point-of-Sale system efficiently.
- Process payment and check bills promptly.
- Handle problem with cashier payments.
- Ensure cash management protocols are always adhered to and balances are correct.
- **3. General Service Management**_
- Assist manager by getting involved in planning and organizing of special events.
- Check food and beverage inventories and stocks in a consistent and accurate manner.
- Follow Food & Beverage Safety and Hygiene policies and procedures.
- Complete opening, operating, and closing procedures.
- Escalate guests complain to duty manager if unable to conduct service recovery.
- Implement plans to deliver excellent service for outlet.
- Work closely with the kitchen team on food feedback and improvement.
- Ensure all equipment is kept in perfect working condition and to report any deficiencies.
- **Qualifications**:_
- Previous experience in managing a floor team in a fine dining Japanese restaurant is preferred
- Basic knowledge about Kaiseki course and Japanese sake is preferred
- Excellent customer service and hospitality skills and willingness to learn new items on food and service
- Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Pleasant with a positive and approachable attitude
- Excellent emotional control in fast-paced environments
- Ability to handle and resolve guests complaints
- Dedication to on-time arrival for shifts, and able to commit to weekends and selected public holidays
**Salary**: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
