IT Operations & User Support
- Provide day-to-day technical support for laptops, desktops, printers, network devices, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems and software (Windows, macOS, Office 365, etc.).
- Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and access control (email, VPN, shared drives).
- Respond promptly to IT support tickets and ensure issues are resolved within SLA.
- Standardise the desktop environment, PC, laptop and common applications for respective teams.
Hardware & Infrastructure
- Maintain and troubleshoot local servers, routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points, and storage devices.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance on all IT hardware.
- Support setup for office equipment (meeting rooms, projectors, printers, IP phones).
- Provision laptops for new user
- Diagnose hardware problem and provide the solution or recommendation
Network & Security
- Monitor network connectivity and performance; escalate outages when required.
- Implement and maintain antivirus, firewall, and endpoint security software.
- Conduct periodic system health checks and ensure all patches/updates are applied.
- Backup and restore critical data; manage access to shared drives or cloud storage (OneDrive, Google Drive, etc.).
- Monitor threat alerts, investigate potential breaches
- Conduct periodic license audits to ensure compliance and avoid over/under-licensing
- Review third-party software
- Actively restrict, remove, or block unlicensed or unauthorized software
Server & System Administration
- Manage on-premise or cloud servers (Windows Server / Ubuntu / Synology NAS).
- Maintain user directory (Active Directory, Microsoft 365 Admin Center, etc.).
- Support deployment of software updates and monitor system logs for irregular activity.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain updated inventory of IT assets, licenses, and configurations.
- Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base for common issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve IT processes and enhance system reliability.
Requirements
Technical Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor's in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in IT support or system administration
Proficiency with:
- Windows / macOS / Linux environments
- Networking (LAN/WAN, routers, firewalls, VPN)
- Microsoft 365 / Active Directory / Exchange / SharePoint
- Antivirus, firewall, and endpoint protection systems
- Familiarity with server management, cloud storage, and backup solutions (AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud).
Soft Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication — able to explain technical issues in simple terms.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and responsible with follow-through.
- Team player who can support multiple departments simultaneously.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM3, RM5,500.00 per month
