We're looking for a Restaurant QA & Admin Manager to lead operations and quality standards at our corporate cafeteria. If you have a strong background in food safety, admin, and service excellence — and can balance hands-on operations with compliance and people leadership — we'd love to meet you

Position Overview:

The Restaurant QA & Admin Manager is responsible for managing daily restaurant operations with a strong focus on food safety, workplace safety, administrative efficiency, and service quality. The role aims to ensure full compliance with client and company standards while driving continuous improvement and fostering long-term client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance

  2. Ensure strict adherence to all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations.

  3. Implement and enforce company SOPs, KPIs, and SLAs.
  4. Lead internal audits and ensure audit readiness at all times.
  5. Conduct regular inspections and training to ensure quality consistency.

  6. Procurement Compliance & Accountability

  7. Oversee all unit purchases in compliance with Client's SOP, including request approvals, price comparisons, and Finance submissions.

  8. Maintain full documentation and traceability for all purchase activities.
  9. Coordinate with HQ Finance and Cost Control for budget tracking and back charges.
  10. Supervise receiving of raw materials with the Chef to verify quality, quantity, and specifications.

  11. Manpower Management

  12. Plan and manage manpower to meet operational needs.

  13. Conduct staff training, retraining, and performance evaluation.
  14. Promote a positive team culture that aligns with company values.

  15. Front-of-House Operations

  16. Oversee day-to-day front-of-house operations to maintain excellent service standards.

  17. Monitor customer flow, cleanliness, and service quality.
  18. Lead by example and support the team in achieving operational goals.

  19. VIP Service & Client Relations

  20. Deliver high-standard VIP and executive dining services (training provided).

  21. Coordinate with kitchen and operations teams for VIP events.
  22. Maintain strong communication and relationships with key clients and users.

  23. Equipment & Facility Maintenance

  24. Ensure all equipment and facilities are in good working order.

  25. Implement preventive maintenance schedules and record keeping.
  26. Liaise with HQ Maintenance and vendors for repairs.

  27. Reporting & Documentation

  28. Prepare and submit required reports accurately and on time.

  29. Maintain organized records for audits and performance tracking.
  30. Support management in client reporting and review meetings.

  31. Customer Service Excellence

  32. Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally.

  33. Lead initiatives to enhance user satisfaction and dining experience.
  34. Collaborate with HQ Marketing for engagement activities when required.

  35. Administrative Duties

  36. Manage administrative functions including records, schedules, and inventory documentation.

  37. Ensure compliance with company policies and client requirements.
  38. Support unit budget and petty cash control.

  39. Replacement Backup & Ad-Hoc Duties

  40. Act as replacement backup for Supervisor or Storekeeper when required.

  41. Support other business units under The House of Taste Sdn Bhd as assigned.
  42. Perform other duties as instructed by the Executive Chef, Head Chef, or Management.

Requirements

  • Degree in Quality Assurance, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in restaurant, QA, or operations management.
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese (written and spoken).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Canva, and digital tools (WeChat, OneBox, SharePoint).
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and efficient in task execution.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Able to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
