JOB SUMMARY

  • Review existing online models (real time data) of the water supply networks at WWSP and develop & analyze models using AQUIS software for assisting in planning and optimizing water contingency plan.
  • Supporting in the study and development of online modelling for achieving AIS Digital Twin with high accuracy.
  • Built and calibrate the District Metering Zones (DMZs) models against available flow and pressure data

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Hydraulic Modelling

  • Liaise with Modeler team at Planning Division to study and monitor water network through Online AQUIS hydraulic model simulations and assisting in planning and optimized water contingency plan.
  • Train new internal modeler at Strategic Operation (SO) using existing hydraulic software (AQUIS).
  • Ensure all data and signals assigned correctly in the system platform (WWSP), pipe connectivity, network structures and assets in water distribution network are updated from time to time to ensure high accuracy of network
  • Use GIS tools such as ARC GIS, QGIS and Map Info and also using databases and spread sheets to assist in model building.
  • Liaise with GIS teams and district officers to verify information regarding pipe connectivity, valves location, pump and reservoir data including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress.
  • Build and calibrate all existing District Metering Zones DMZs) using AQUIS to identify and resolve any technical difficulties or other problem that may arise in particular DMZ.
  • Liaise with NRW team to verify information regarding DMZ and use Net base system to extract available pressure and flow data.
  • Build, calibrate and analysis selected distribution pipe using AQUIS software pipe to identify and resolve low pressure issue.

ICC Projects

  • Involve in any projects related with ICC from other divisions to ensure fulfil of system requirement (WWSP).
  • Study current and future ICC functions and prepare ICC Masterplan up until 2030.
  • Involve in CAPEX of ICC and produce any other supporting documents for CAPEX.
  • Handling internal ICC projects by producing report/ memo/ proposal and coordinate with vendors and regions to ensure fulfil of project requirement in supporting ICC continuous expansion and optimization.
  • Study and review of the relevant documents such as contract, UAT, and previous projects implemented at ICC.
  • Involve and support other divisions in water supply study and projection for achieving AIS Digital Twin with high accuracy.
  • Attend all project meetings related with ICC.

Ad-hoc assignment

  • Involve in other Ad-hoc assignment/duties as needed or required from Head of Unit (HOU) and Head of Section (HOS).
