Company Description

Formed in 2009, Serunai Commerce Sdn Bhd provides products and services to enhance connectivity and transparency in the global Halal marketplace. The company has launched several digital platforms such as the Global Halal Data Pool, Verify Halal app, and the Halal Digital Chain, HADIC. They also offer the Certification Bodies Master System CBMS paired with VH SMART. Located in Kuala Lumpur, with additional offices in South Africa and India, Serunai's Halal Centre of Excellence provides professional Halal training programs and consultancy to assist local and international Halal certification applicants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule and manage training programmes (local & international).
  • Handle full training cycle: registration, logistics, trainers, participants, certificates & feedback.
  • Coordinate with partners such as JAKIM, BPJPH, MATRADE, universities & certification bodies.
  • Work with marketing team to promote training via digital platforms & social media.
  • Manage participant database, attendance & post-training reports.
  • Prepare quotations, budgets & financial summaries for each training.
  • Ensure HRD Corp (HRDF) compliance & documentation.
  • Maintain training records, evaluations & certificates.
  • Support hybrid/e-learning initiatives for COE.
  • Compile monthly reports & propose improvement ideas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Education, Halal Management or related field.
  • 2–3 years' experience in training coordination or event management.
  • Experience in Halal industry or professional certification is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong coordination & multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication (Malay & English).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Sharepoint, and digital meeting tools (Teams).
  • Familiar with HRDF procedures & Halal compliance.
  • Good time management & problem-solving ability.
