About the role

Falalaa Desserts — home of signature shaved ice desserts— is seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to lead our vibrant Kuchai Lama and Subang Jaya outlet. You'll be at the heart of our brand, ensuring every guest leaves happier than they arrived. As the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring quality standards, exceptional customer service, efficient team management, and driving the overall success of our establishment. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary and a variety of benefits.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage and coordinate all restaurant operations, including front-of-house, back-of-house, in alignment with the management team's direction.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels for all materials and ensure they are stored under proper conditions.
  • Ensure all food served meets the company's quality standard.
  • Recruit, train, and lead a team of service staff to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
  • Prepare and manage staff weekly schedules and monitor daily attendance.
  • Monitor and control costs, recommending initiatives to improve profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Generate innovative ideas to improve operations and enhance the customer experience.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promote staff well-being and actively motivate the team.
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors to maintain efficient operations.
  • To perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Management.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  • Diploma / Degree in related filed - F&B, Business Management, Hospitality and etc. is highly encouraged.
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • An operational expertise to handle a diverse range of customer requests.
  • Proficient in leadership, inventory control, and cost-effective operations.
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment,
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
