Corporate Marketing and Business Development Manager – Meetings, Conferences & Events (MICE)

We are a large and diversified corporate group engaged in property development, mall and office management, event spaces, retail, and entertainment operations. Our portfolio includes a state-of-the-art convention and event centre designed to host meetings, conferences, exhibitions, and corporate events.

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketing and Business Development Manager to lead our MICE sales, business development, and marketing strategies. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for driving revenue, building strong client relationships, and elevating brand visibility for our event spaces.

This role is ideal for someone with proven experience in convention centres (e.g., MITEC, KLCC, Setia SPICE), hotels (banquet or event sales), or large event space operations — and who brings along a strong portfolio of corporate clients and contacts with immediate potential for space bookings and event partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales, marketing, and branding strategies to position our Centre as a leading MICE and corporate events destination.
  • Drive business growth by securing new clients, managing existing accounts, and converting leads into confirmed bookings.
  • Leverage your corporate contact list and industry networks to generate business opportunities and long-term partnerships.
  • Apply your experience in convention halls, hotel banquet sales, or event venue management to maximise space utilisation and revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, associations, PCOs, DMCs, and media partners.
  • Lead integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social media, PR, and offline channels.
  • Manage budgets, KPIs, and ROI analysis for sales and marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in sales, marketing, or business development, with at least 2 years in the MICE, events, or hospitality sector (convention centres, hotels, or event spaces).
  • Proven sales record and an existing client contact list of corporate clients seeking venues for meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Experience with MITEC, large convention halls, or hotel banquet sales is highly preferred.
  • Strong network and connections within the corporate, event, and hospitality industries.
  • Excellent sales, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in digital marketing, branding, and campaign analytics.
  • A proactive, driven, and creative professional who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

Pay: RM5, RM8,500.00 per month
