JOB SUMMARY

The HR Assistant (Warden) supports the Dormitory Warden in managing day-to-day dormitory operations. This includes ensuring cleanliness, safety, well-being, and overall welfare of residents by supervising facilities, enforcing rules, and providing necessary support. The role also requires effective communication with residents, staff, and management, as well as being prepared to respond to emergencies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct regular patrols and spot checks within the hostel premises.
  • Perform routine inspections on room cleanliness and ensure general hygiene standards are met.
  • Ensure that hostel areas and individual residential units remain clean and well-maintained.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and upkeep of all hostel facilities.
  • Coordinate repairs and report issues promptly to the relevant departments.
  • Supervise and manage all hostel operations and facilities.
  • Monitor for prohibited activities such as alcohol consumption, fighting, or drug use.
  • Remain on standby to respond to emergencies and provide necessary assistance.
  • Attend to resident complaints, requests, and general enquiries.
  • Report any resident misconduct or rule violations to senior management.
  • Monitor residents' behaviour, enforce discipline, and provide support when required.
  • Manage room allocations, resident check-ins, check-outs, and maintain proper recordkeeping.

AUTHORITY

  • Instruct residents to maintain cleanliness in their rooms.
  • Conduct inspections in all residential units, including women's housing.
  • Reprimand residents when rules are violated or mistakes are committed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to complete tasks independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills and a high sense of responsibility.
  • Polite, well-mannered, and able to handle residents professionally.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to manage conflict and build positive relationships.

JOB-RELATED SKILLS

  • Proficiency in office software such as MS Office for reporting and recordkeeping.
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm during stressful situations.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in all tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of public safety and security practices.
  • Physically fit with good stamina and endurance.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM2, RM4,000.00 per month
