Role Overview:

We're looking for a Business Development Specialist to drive growth for World Mode Malaysia (WMM) in Malaysia. You'll focus on securing new clients and partnerships, primarily in retail, fashion, and beauty, while also exploring opportunities in other industries. This role involves building strong client relationships, generating new business, and ensuring sustainable account growth through our staffing, training, and retail consultancy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Acquisition:
    Identify and pursue B2B opportunities, develop proposals, pitch WMM's services, and close deals.
  • Client & Partner Development:
    Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, act as a trusted advisor, and identify upselling opportunities.
  • Market Insights:
    Keep up with industry trends and competitor activity to help refine our services.
  • Sales Operations:
    Maintain accurate pipeline records, report on progress, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver on client commitments.

Target Expectations:

  • Secure significant new business and expand client accounts.
  • Consistently identify and develop new client opportunities.
  • Build a strong sales pipeline and convert opportunities into revenue.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of proven B2B business development experience, ideally in retail, staffing, recruitment, or training services.
  • Having connections in Malaysia's fashion, beauty, or retail industries is a plus.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Self-driven, accountable, and results-oriented.
  • Fluent in English and Malay; Japanese language skills are a plus.
