Position Overview

The Finance Executive is responsible for supporting the Senior Finance Executive in managing daily finance and accounting functions. This role ensures accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements to support the company's financial efficiency and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

  2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system.

  3. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for review.
  4. Assist in preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, P&L and cash flow reports.
  5. Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

2.Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up with customers on payment matters.

  • Reconcile customer statements and supplier accounts regularly.

  • Bank & Cash Management

  • Prepare bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of cash balances.

  • Manage petty cash distributions and reimbursement claims.
  • Monitor daily cash flow and report any discrepancies.

4.Taxation & Compliance

  • Assist in preparation and submission of SST, income tax, and other statutory filings.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements under Malaysian financial laws.

  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies when required.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.

  • Monitor budget variance and highlight irregularities to the Senior Finance Executive.

  • Internal Controls & Documentation

  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.

  • Support implementation of internal control policies to safeguard company assets.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in finance or accounting (fresh graduates with internship experience are encouraged to apply).
  • Knowledge of accounting standards (MFRS/IFRS) and Malaysian tax regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software (SQL, AutoCount, SAP, or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team under the supervision of Senior Finance Executive.
