Responsibilities

  • Receive, evaluate, and assess suggestions or proposals for new product development until the new product is approved.
  • Conduct and participate in Design Reviews to assess improvement ideas and ensure designs comply with internal, customer, and industry standards or regulations.
  • Perform mechanical design and development activities, including proposals, risk assessments, concept studies, detailed designs, analyses, drawings, prototypes, and testing.
  • Generate product specifications, verification and validation plans, and design justifications covering performance, manufacturability, testability, and reliability.
  • Prepare and maintain DFMEA and PFMEA documentation in accordance with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 and customer requirements.
  • Ensure all designs are properly documented and recorded in the system, including the preparation of drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM) for product transfer to production and circulation to related departments.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal teams (e.g., Project Manager, Marketing, Production Engineering) and external teams (e.g., suppliers, design partners, customers).
  • Conduct cost studies on existing products and propose cost reduction initiatives.
  • Remain aware of risks and opportunities, interested parties, and the potential consequences of deviation from established procedures or instructions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in CAD & CAE design applications.
  • Strong knowledge in Product and Tooling Design.
  • Familiar with Injection Moulding, Painting, and Electroplating processes.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and quality measurement systems.
