Key responsibilities

Purchasing & Procurement

  1. Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers and vendors.
  2. Select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery performance.
  3. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost efficiency.
  4. Issue purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and accuracy of items.
  5. Maintain and update supplier information and purchasing records.
  6. Work closely with production and other departments to ensure timely supply of required materials and services.
  7. Prepare and maintain all purchasing-related documentation for internal and audit purposes.
  8. Prepare monthly purchasing reports and cost summaries for management review.
  9. Handle urgent purchases or deliveries when required.

Customs & LMW Compliance

  1. Manage and monitor LMW documentation, including import/export permits, customs forms, and related reports.
  2. Ensure full compliance with Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) requirements and LMW license regulations.
  3. Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual LMW reports accurately and on time.
  4. Maintain up-to-date records of raw material and finished goods movements as required by Customs.
  5. Coordinate with Customs officers during inspections, audits, and stock verifications.
  6. Handle applications and renewals of Customs permits, exemptions, and approvals related to LMW operations.
  7. Liaise with freight forwarders, agents, and government authorities for shipment clearance.
  8. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure all import/export documentation is complete and compliant.
  9. Identify and resolve any customs or LMW-related discrepancies promptly.
  10. Support management in improving customs and LMW compliance processes.

What we're looking for

  1. Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
  2. Candidates with manufacturing or customs/LMW background are strongly encouraged to apply.
  3. Language: Proficient in English, Malay, and Mandarin (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking suppliers).
  4. Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in purchasing, procurement, or customs/LMW-related functions.
  5. Experience in Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) operations is an added advantage.
  6. Knowledge of Customs import/export procedures and LMW regulations preferred.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with standard documentation practices.
  8. Possess own transport and a valid driving license; willing to handle urgent collections or deliveries if required.
  9. Strong communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
  10. Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to meet deadlines.
  11. Able to start work immediately or within short notice is an advantage.
