As a procurement executive, you will be the key person who isresponsible for securing the necessary materials, equipment, and services for construction projects, ensuring they are cost-effective, timely, and meet project requirements, this include:

1. Procurement Planning:

  • Work closely with project teams to identify procurement needs based on project schedules and budgets.
  • Plan and forecast procurement requirements for upcoming and ongoing projects.

2. Supplier Management:

  • Source and pre-qualify reliable vendors and subcontractors.
  • Maintain and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery.

3. Quotation & Negotiation:

  • Request, evaluate, and compare quotations from multiple vendors.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost savings and favorable terms.

4. Purchase Order Management:

  • Issue purchase orders (PO) in accordance with internal approval workflows.
  • Track and monitor PO status and coordinate delivery logistics with suppliers and project teams.

5. Quality & Compliance:

  • Ensure all procured materials and services comply with technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Adhere to relevant legal, regulatory, and safety standards in procurement processes.

6. Inventory & Delivery Coordination:

  • Coordinate material deliveries to construction sites, minimizing delays and disruptions.
  • Work with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure proper storage and stock management.

7. Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, supplier correspondence, and PO documentation.
  • Generate regular reports on procurement activities, savings, and supplier performance.

To succeed in this role, we will need you to have:

  • Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 - 4 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, technical specifications, and industry supply chain practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and procurement systems.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Practicing procurement activities for construction (mechanical, electrical, civil and infrastructures work) sourcing is a must.
