Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinating with suppliers to place orders, monitor inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Reviewing order specifications and confirming that they meet company standards
  • Negotiating prices, terms, and conditions of contracts with vendors
  • Reviewing purchase orders and other paperwork from suppliers to ensure that deliveries match orders
  • Matching incoming goods with purchase orders in order to ensure that the correct items were received
  • Processing invoices from suppliers for payment according to company policies
  • Communicating with vendors about changes in order quantities or delivery schedules based on business needs Duties vary depending on the size of the business and the industry in which it operates.
  • Prepares all aspects of simple bids, requests for quotes, and proposals, including precise specifications, supporting spreadsheets, comparisons, recommendations, and justifications; issues purchase orders.
  • Assists in bid openings for competitive solicitations such as requests for quotes, bids, and proposals.
  • Reviews and evaluates contracts and purchase orders, negotiates change orders, and determines sole source validity.
  • Maintains records in accordance with established policies and procedures and audit guidelines.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field may be required.
  • Previous experience in a similar position.
  • Superb written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Great organizational and planning skills.
  • The ability to identify market trends and make decisions in a high-stress environment.
  • Language required: English & Mandarin; Mandarin speaker will be added advantage.
  • 5.5 working days. (work full day on alternative Saturday)
