We're Hiring: Manager, Capacity Building

As a Manager in Capacity Building, you will work closely with CEOs and management teams of the companies to diagnose challenges, as well as design and execute value creation strategies that help businesses become investor-ready. This is a role for someone who thrives on problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and driving transformation from the inside.

What You Will Do

  • Screen and assess SMEs to build the programme pipeline and identify target companies.
  • Lead engagements from assessment to identifying and executing value creation work, with the end goals of driving company growth, reaching investor readiness, and accessing growth capital.
  • Co-create practical solutions and value creation work across the 8 Capacity Building pillars (strategy, financial, people, operations, sales & marketing, compliance, leadership, and investor enablement).
  • Partnering with internal experts and external consultants to drive the value creation plan.
  • Presenting insights, dashboards, and case studies to senior committees.
  • Facilitating peer learning, coaching, and investor engagement.

What We Are Looking for

  • Strong understanding of SME dynamics and challenges in Malaysia's lower mid-market.
  • Strong business acumen and financial analysis skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Demonstratable experience and success in driving performance improvement, business transformation, strategy and operations, or SME development.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and senior stakeholders.
  • Clear communication and facilitation skills.
  • BONUS:
    Familiarity with capital access pathways (private equity, private credit, bank financing, alternative financing, SME facilities).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, or related fields (MBA preferred).
  • 5 to 7 years' experience in the relevant fields.
