Regional Business Development Manager

We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Regional Business Development Manager to lead our franchise recruitment and expansion efforts across the world including Africa, Latin America, Europe and other countries. Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will play a critical role in identifying growth opportunities, securing high-quality franchise partnerships, and executing our regional development strategy.
This is a high-impact role ideal for a business developer with a deep understanding of franchise operations, food & beverage or retail industries, and the ability to drive market entry and growth across diverse international regions.

Key Responsibilities:- Franchise Expansion Planning
Lead and implement franchise development strategies across assigned regions to drive network growth and brand presence. - Franchisee Recruitment & Negotiation
Proactively identify, engage, and evaluate prospective franchisees. Manage end-to end recruitment, including proposal presentation, business negotiations, and final onboarding. - Franchise Partner Screening & Contracting
Conduct due diligence on franchise candidates, ensure alignment with brand standards, and oversee contract execution and initial store launch processes. - Market Research & Site Strategy
Conduct and analyze market research, competitor insights, and demographic data to support optimal site selection and regional strategy. - Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with internal teams (legal, operations, marketing, etc.) to support franchisees and ensure a smooth launch process. - Regional Travel & Market Development
Travel to target markets within Central Asia and North Africa to meet partners, scout opportunities, and build regional networks.
- Bachelor degree or higher in Business, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years in franchise recruitment, business development, or key account sales, ideally within F&B, tea/coffee chains, or retail franchises.
- Strong understanding of franchise models and lifecycle, from partner acquisition to store opening.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly proactive, entrepreneurial, and driven by performance and targets.
- Strong project execution capabilities with the ability to manage multiple partners and timelines.
- Willingness to travel across the region.
- Existing network or market familiarity for overseas
- Proficient in Chinese and English is mandatory (to facilitate communication between headquarters) Indonesian is an added advantage
