About the role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Halal Admin/Food Safety Admin to join our team. This full-time position is based in Johor Bahru, Johor and will play a crucial role in ensuring the customer compliance with halal and food safety requirements. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for managing administrative tasks related to halal certification and food safety standards.

What you'll be doing

  1. Collecting and verifying relevant information and documents from customers for the preparation of Halal and food safety documentation.
  2. Coordinating the halal certification process, including preparing and submitting documentation to the relevant authorities.
  3. Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to halal compliance and food safety standards.
  4. Conducting inspections at client premise to ensure adherence to halal and food safety guidelines.
  5. Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders to address any halal or food safety-related concerns.
  6. Providing support and guidance to the customer on halal and food safety-related matters.
  7. Staying up-to-date with the latest regulations and industry best practices in halal and food safety.

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar administrative or compliance-related role within the food industry.
  2. Strong understanding of halal certification requirements and food safety regulations.
  3. Excellent organisational and attention to detail skills.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and SharePoint.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
