Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Technical Sales Engineer located in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The individual will be responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities, providing technical support, preparing and delivering sales presentations, and maintaining strong client relationships. The role involves collaborating with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and offering technical sales solutions to meet customer needs.

1. Pre-Sales Support

  • Understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical workshops.
  • Provide technical clarifications during client meetings and tender stages.

2. Sales & Business Development

  • Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and tender documents.
  • Follow up on leads, manage pipeline, and work towards assigned sales targets.

3. Technical Expertise

  • Maintain strong knowledge of company products, technologies, and industry standards.
  • Liaise with engineering/manufacturing teams to customize solutions.
  • Review technical specifications for compliance and feasibility.

4. Project Coordination

  • Assist in project handover to engineering/execution teams after order award.
  • Support site surveys, assessments, or client meetings when required.
  • Provide after-sales technical support where necessary.

5. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
  • Gather market intelligence, competitor analysis, and customer feedback.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales and post-sales cycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related fields) / Business / Information Technology or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts and ability to communicate them simply.
