This position is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payroll and adherence to the local regulations.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure that calculation of basic salaries, overtime and allowances are computed correct and in compliance with the statutory requirements.
- Prepare monthly payroll report, ensuring proper and accurate payroll reports to Finance department.
- Coordinate and ensure timely submission of yearly reports to the statutory bodies e.g. Labour Department, MIDA etc.
- Coordinate and timely filing of annual tax reports to IRD.
- Support in HR Payroll system changes and enhancements, ensuring that systematic updates are completed by the payroll vendor in a timely and complete manner.
- Administer SOCSO (PERKESO) claims.
- Support payroll audit as and when required.
- Propose process improvement of payroll processing from time to time.
- Respond to inquiries, perform payroll data analysis and investigate discrepancies when required.
- Participate in ad-hoc Payroll projects/data requests as and when needed.
Requirements:
- Degree in any discipline.
- At least 5 years' payroll processing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Analytical and detail oriented.
- Multi-tasking skills, independent, self-driven and results oriented.
- Good computer literacy in MS tools e.g. Excel, PowerPoint etc.
