About the Role:

As Business Development Managerfor our range of enterprise solutions and services, you will be in a customer-facing role. Your primary responsibility is to generate new business focusing on manufacturing, trading, distribution, and services industry verticals. Our solutions are considered mission-critical applications and typically involve top management decision making. You will need to demonstrate the ability to engage senior level business decision makers in discussions related to operational improvement and business value creation. Amongst the key skills required for you to succeed in this role is the ability to understand complex sales cycle, solution selling and the ability to create rapport with senior level management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Sales Strategy: Identify, prospect, and engage new clients by leveraging market research, cold calling, and networking. Develop and execute strategies to meet sales targets and expand the customer base.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers in target organizations. Serve as the main point of contact for customers, ensuring a seamless experience throughout the sales cycle.
  • Solution Selling: Consult with potential clients to understand their business needs, challenges, and goals. Present ERP solutions tailored to their specific requirements, showcasing how the product can enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Sales Presentations : Lead presentations (will be an advantage if you can demo) to showcase the value and capabilities of the ERP system to prospective clients.
  • Proposal Development & Negotiation: Prepare proposals and quotes in collaboration with internal teams. Negotiate terms and pricing to secure profitable deals.
  • Market Insights & Strategy: Continuously monitor the ERP market and industry trends to identify new opportunities. Develop strategies to stay ahead of competitors and expand market share.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and delivery teams to ensure alignment in go-to-market strategies, product offerings, and customer success.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline. Provide regular reporting on sales activities, forecasts, and achievements to sales director.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in any field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of experience in business development or sales within the ERP software industry, manufacturing, pharmaceutical or related fields.
  • Experience with specific ERP solutions (e.g., INFOR, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics), IOT/ MES / WMS is preferred
  • Strong command of English and local languages in Malaysia.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of ERP solutions, their functionalities, and how they can benefit organizations. Experience in managing large-scale enterprise sales and complex sales cycles.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive sales environment.
  • Established network and relationships with decision-makers in the target industries.
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience's needs.
  • Experienced in solution selling and complex account management.
  • Have excellent sales analytical, Interpersonal and communication skills.
