Job Summary

The Executive - Engineer (CSA) is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the successful delivery of all Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) related work packages according to the agreed design, scope, quality, and schedule. This role involves active collaboration between internal teams, clients, and sub-designers to ensure constructability, safety, and efficiency throughout project execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervision & Coordination

  • Supervise and coordinate all CSA-related activities to ensure alignment with design, specifications, timelines, and quality standards.

  • Inspect on-site construction works to verify compliance with design requirements, regulations, and safety standards.

  • Design Management

  • Coordinate and manage design interfaces among client representatives, internal teams, and external consultants/sub-designers.

  • Review and assess constructability to ensure design practicality, buildability, and efficient task sequencing.

  • Safety & Risk Management

  • Identify potential safety hazards and implement risk mitigation strategies through improved construction design and methodologies.

  • Technical & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure designs and works comply with Planning Approvals, SuSTOM compliance, Building By-Laws, and Standard Building Specifications.

  • Prepare and submit technical documents, including reports, method statements, and quality control documentation, to relevant clients and authorities.

  • Problem Solving & Value Engineering

  • Provide cost-effective technical solutions to design or site challenges.

  • Serve as the focal point for resolving technical issues promptly to minimize delays and cost impacts.

  • Stakeholder Engagement

  • Participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders to discuss progress, challenges, and resolutions.


Requirements

Work Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction or project management roles.
  • Demonstrated ability in technical correspondence and report writing.
  • Strong understanding of civil, structural, and architectural engineering principles and terminology.
  • Proficiency in CAD Software, Drawings, and Modelling.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related engineering discipline.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English (Mandarin is an added advantage).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Capable of setting realistic milestones and efficiently utilizing available resources.
