Position Summary

The
Manager – Shipping & Documentation
will be responsible for overseeing all import and export logistics operations, ensuring accuracy in documentation, adherence to international trade regulations, and smooth coordination across global supply chain activities. This role serves as the company's internal expert on
Incoterms
,
Letters of Credit (LCs)
, and
sanction compliance
, while driving operational efficiency, cost control, and best-in-class logistics performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inbound & Outbound Logistics

  • Manage and monitor over
    600 containers monthly
    , including
    150 import shipments
    .
  • Coordinate
    vessel bookings
    ,
    freight negotiations
    , and
    carrier performance
    .
  • Oversee
    customs clearance
    and ensure timely documentation for all inbound and outbound shipments.

2. Documentation & Compliance

  • Supervise all
    export-related documentation
    , including processes through
    3rd party systems
    and
    Mithi platform
    .
  • Ensure alignment with
    LC terms
    ,
    payment conditions
    , and
    purchase orders
    .
  • Maintain full compliance with
    international trade laws
    ,
    customs regulations
    , and
    Incoterms
    .

3. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and manage relationships with
    freight forwarders
    ,
    customs agents
    , and
    internal procurement teams
    .
  • Drive
    cost efficiency
    , optimize
    logistics workflows
    , and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure transparency, accuracy, and accountability in all vendor communications and contracts.

4. Leadership & Governance

  • Lead and mentor a team of
    8 documentation and logistics professionals
    , ensuring performance excellence.
  • Implement
    continuous improvement initiatives
    to elevate documentation accuracy and compliance.
  • Serve as the internal
    subject matter expert
    on
    trade sanctions
    ,
    regulatory changes
    , and
    ESG-aligned logistics practices
    .

Candidate Profile

Experience & Background

  • Minimum
    7 years of experience
    in
    logistics, shipping, and documentation management
    .
  • Strong background in
    international trade operations
    ,
    compliance
    , and
    supply chain governance
    .
  • Experience in
    food manufacturing
    ,
    FMCG
    , or
    high-volume container logistics
    preferred.
