Strategic Procurement & Category Management

  • Manage and execute Group-level category strategies for assigned portfolios, serving both Singapore and Malaysia operations.
  • Conduct in-depth market intelligence, cost modelling, and total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses to inform sourcing decisions and risk mitigation.
  • Leverage the Malaysian supply base to identify and qualify high-performing suppliers aligned with Group standards on cost, quality, compliance, and sustainability.

Sourcing & Negotiation

  • Lead the end-to-end strategic sourcing process, including RFx management, supplier negotiations, and contract award for assigned categories.
  • Drive the establishment of Group-wide supply agreements to secure optimal pricing, payment terms, and service levels.

Governance & Standardization

  • Lead the review, harmonization, and implementation of above-market end-to-end procurement procedures and workflows across entities.
  • Establish and maintain a robust supplier qualification, evaluation, and performance management framework for strategic Group suppliers.
  • Build and maintain a Group-approved preferred supplier list and ensure ongoing compliance with Group procurement standards.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the procurement subject matter expert and primary point of contact of assigned category for stakeholders across both countries.
  • Partner closely with internal functions (Operations, Quality, Finance, R&D, Marketing) to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with logistics, planning, and warehouse teams to ensure efficient cross-border fulfilment and inventory management.

Performance & Reporting

  • Define, monitor, and report on Group-level KPIs covering cost savings, supplier performance, service quality, and supply chain risk.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on procurement performance, category strategies, market trends, and savings to senior leadership.

Shared Services Leadership

  • Play a key role in setting up and refining procurement shared service operations in Malaysia, including process design, team capability development, and technology enablement.
