About the role

This is an exciting 1-year contract opportunity for a Purchasing Executive to join the team at MAHSURI FOOD SDN. BHD., based in Bandar Enstek, Negeri Sembilan. As a Purchasing Executive, you will play a key role in the Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics department, with a focus on Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory management.

Job description

  1. Procurement Operations:

  2. Manage PO issuance activities.

  3. Manage Supplier Delivery Tracking and coordination with respective internal stakeholders.

  4. Follow up outstanding goods receipt and payment matter with respective internal stakeholders.

  5. Supplier Management:

  6. Managing pool of approved suppliers for on time in full delivery, good service level & competitive pricing

  7. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  8. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to delivery, quality, or compliance.

  9. Conduct regular supplier reviews and audits.

  10. Sub-contract activities

  11. Manage sub-contract activities with co-packer.

  12. Develop the promo packing material with PD and co-packer (Carton, label, sticker, sleeves and other premium item).

  13. Develop alternative suppliers to enhance both market and price competition and process efficiency.

  14. Compliance and Risk Management:

  15. Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.

  16. Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records.

  17. Reporting and Analysis:

  18. Prepare regular reports on procurement activities.

  19. Maintain related purchasing master data, Vendor Master & Material Master in SAP system.

Job specifications

  • University Degree Holder in Business Studies/Supply Value Chain/Management.
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in the similar capacity.
  • Has experience in handling procurement in manufacturing environment.
  • Prepared to work independently, under pressure & possess a high sense of responsibility.
  • Good command of written and spoken English & Mandarin.
  • Willing to travel between Shah Alam & Bandar Enstek.
  • Strong verbal & communication skills.
  • Proficiency in mastering Microsoft excel and power point.
  • Good analytical and strategic thinking skill.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
