Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur City for a legal, compliance and secretariat executive. Responsible for supporting the company's legal, compliance, and corporate secretariat functions. Key duties include reviewing basic contracts, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, assisting in compliance monitoring and reporting and coordinating filings with relevant authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist to handle the full spectrum of corporate secretarial duties for the listed company and its group of companies, including maintaining statutory registers and records, drafting and preparing resolutions and providing assistance in preparation of announcements and other documents in compliance with corporate regulatory and listing requirements.
  2. Organize board and shareholders' meetings, prepare agendas, minutes of meetings, liaise with board members and management
  3. Maintain electronic secretarial database
  4. Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents
  5. Assist to ensure compliance by the Group of all relevant laws and CCOB regulatory requirements
  6. Assist in drafting policies/guidance, suggesting appropriate controls and ensuring compliance controls are implemented
  7. Assist to develop legal & compliance training
  8. Assist in updating existing compliance policies and procedures accordingly

Qualifications

  1. Degree in Law.
  2. Minimum 2 years' experience in legal and compliance is an advantage.
  3. Experience in handling SME business and corporation legal.
  4. Self-motivated, independent, and target-driven, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia; strong presentation and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
