Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Technologist (Specialty Food Ingredients) based in Petaling Jaya. The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities within the specialty food ingredients sector. Responsibilities include conducting market research, formulating strategic plans, collaborating with partners to provide technical solutions, and fostering long-term customer relationships. The candidate will also oversee the application of technology and innovation to meet customer needs, ensuring alignment with Markaids' mission of delivering value through credible food science and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Strong Analytical Skills and Business Analysis capabilities
  • Proficiency in Information Technology as it relates to food science and business operations
  • Experience in Customer Service and building lasting client relationships
  • Strategic Planning skills to identify and pursue growth opportunities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Business, or a related field is preferred
  • Prior experience in the food ingredients industry is an advantage
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team setting
