We are looking for a talented Head of Sales for a established MNC that specializes in specializes in the automotive industry.
Reporting to: Managing Director
Location: Kuala Lumpur

the role
1. Drive Growth and Strengthen Brand Equity
- Consolidate and implement the annual sales operating plan (AOP).
- Monitor sales performance and gross profit across brands, channels, and key customers.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Marketing teams to deliver accurate forecasts and ensure sufficient product availability.
2. Expand Distribution and Develop Channels
- Formulate and execute distribution strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Track distribution coverage, channel penetration, and business growth to optimize market reach and performance.
3. Analyze Market Trends and Competitor Activities
- Assess the effectiveness of strategic and tactical sales initiatives to align with market demands.
- Partner with Marketing and Pricing teams to manage and enforce pricing policies that enhance competitiveness and profitability.
4. Develop and Strengthen the Sales Force
- Work closely with HR to build a best-in-class sales team focused on achieving an optimal balance between sell-in and sell-out activities.
- Lead, mentor, and coach team members; provide guidance on problem-solving and performance improvement.
- Evaluate and recommend performance appraisals, promotions, recognition, and competency development to maintain a high-performing, motivated, and capable team.
the requirements
- Bachelor's degree/ diploma or equivalent sales training or experience.
- Availability for regular business travel.
- Extensive business-to-business sales experience, preferably in similar industries.
- Excellent planning & organizational skills.
