Job Purpose / Objective

To drive business growth and channel expansion across multi-distribution platforms (Agency, IUTA, Direct Sales) by promoting a diverse suite of investment products including Unit Trusts (UT), Private Retirement Schemes (PRS), Private Mandates, Institutional Accounts, and Wealth Management solutions. The role also supports strategic financial planning initiatives, performance monitoring, and capability building for Financial Planning Representatives (FPRs).

1. Business Growth

  • Execute promotional and developmental activities to penetrate new markets and accelerate regional business growth.
  • Provide strategic input to management on potential growth areas and client expansion strategies.
  • Develop initiatives that deliver value to existing clients while expanding the overall client base.

2. Channel Development

  • Identify and cultivate new distribution channels to enhance market reach.
  • Implement strategies to grow the agency force and increase headcount.
  • Expand active IUTA branches and FPRs to strengthen distribution and manage risk.
  • Develop and maintain mandates for institutional accounts (governmental and non-governmental corporates).

3. Financial Planning Strategy & Execution

  • Assist the Head of PD & FP in developing business plans and achieving performance targets.
  • Monitor planner recruitment, remuneration, incentive schemes, and commission structures.
  • Support the rollout and tracking of Business Opportunity Plans.

4. Training & Capability Building

  • Design, maintain, and deliver training programs to enhance product knowledge and sales effectiveness.
  • Promote continuous learning and awareness among FPRs.

5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

Manage the reporting matrix for all FPRs, including:

  • Budget reviews.
  • Target setting and alignment.
  • Performance tracking and variance analysis.
  • Realignment initiatives to optimize results.

6. Stakeholder Engagement & Support

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of business goals.
  • Provide strategic and operational support to the Head of PD & FP.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in financial planning or investment (e.g., CFP, PRS, UT license) are an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, financial planning, or investment distribution.
  • Proven track record in managing multi-channel distribution (Agency, IUTA, Direct Sales).
  • Experience in handling institutional accounts and private mandates is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of investment products including Unit Trusts, PRS, Private Mandates, and Wealth Management solutions.
